Whanau day at the pools

It was a very hot day. Our school went to the Panmure lagoon pools to have a whanau day. I enjoyed swimming in the pools. I love going on the slide at the pools. We had sausages and then Mrs. Gibson got us some ice blocks. I had lots of fun. I want to go to the pools again.

Explanation; How caterpillars turn into butterflies

I love butterflies when they fly from one flower to another. I like butterflies because they are very very beautiful and it is really exciting to see them fly really really high in the sky.
First the butterfly lays eggs on the leaves. It takes 3-4 days for the eggs to hatch and out comes a really really little caterpillar. The egg is smaller than a 10 cent coin. The little caterpillar looks cute. It nibbles on a leaf and it grows bigger.
Next it hangs upside down on a branch. It pushes and wriggles to take it’s skin off. Next it makes a chrysalis. After 10 days the chrysalis breaks and out comes a beautiful butterfly.

I love butterflies because I like watching them fly. When they are by the sun, they shine because they have glitter on their wings. First it lays eggs on the plants. It takes 3-4 days to hatch out. It eats until it becomes big and fat. The caterpillar hangs upside down and then turns into a chrysalis. It stays inside the chrysalis for 10 days. Then the chrysalis cracks open and then the butterfly comes out.

I like to see butterflies fly in the sky. It makes my eyes go funny. I love butterflies because they have colourful wings.

First they lay eggs. After 3-4 days the eggs hatch into a caterpillar. It eats heaps of leaves and gets fatter and fatter. Then the caterpillar makes a chrysalis. Then it hangs upside down from a branch. After 10-12 days the caterpillar turns into a butterfly.

I love butterflies because they are colourful. I like butterflies because they let me chase them.
First they lay eggs on the leaves. It takes 3-4 days for the eggs to hatch. The little tiny caterpillar looks like a worm. It eats lots of leaves because it is hungry. It gets fatter and fatter. Then it hangs upside down. After that a caterpillar makes a chrysalis. It stays in the chrysalis for 10-12 days. They shed their skins. They wriggle and they push and pull to turn into a chrysalis. After 12 days the chrysalis breaks and a little baby butterfly comes out. The butterfly dries it’s wings and then the butterfly is ready to fly in the sky.
